Dyer, 57, of Newcomerstown Route 3 was found dead at his residence about 11 a.m. Friday, death resulting from an apparent heart attack. He had been a painter by trade. He was born Jan. 17, 1910 in Knox Township, Guernsey County, a son of Elmer H. and Margaret Thompson Dyer and was married in 1935 to Wilma Gibson, who died Sept. 20, 1960. Mr. Dyer was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church of Coshocton. He served in Wordl War II in the European Theater of Operations. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Frank Barnes, Cambridge Route 1 and Mrs. George Forney, Guernsey Route 2; one brother, Homer Dyer, Cambridge and two nieces. One sister is deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. monday at the Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown with Rev. Ronald Rearic in charge. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
