Ford, 83, native of Coshocton County, and a retired school, teacher, a resident of Birds Run Route 1, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at Swan hospital in Cambridge. He had been ill for one week. Mr. Ford was born May 12, 1969 in Adams township, Coshocton County, a son of John and Rebecca Norman Ford and was married May 13, 1897 to Eliza Howell, who survives. A teacher in the Guernsey and Coshocton county schools for 39 years, Mr. Ford retired in 1930. he was a member of the Northfield U. P. church at Boden and the Birds Run grange. In addition to the widow, the survivors are two son,s Luther H. Ford, Coshocton and James H. Ford, Cambridge; one brother, John P. Ford, Port Washington; one sister, Mrs. Tava McGiffen, Columbus; one granddaughter and great-grandson. One brother and two sisters are deceased. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bonnell funeral home in West Lafayette and burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Bonnell funeral home in West Lafayette from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until time for the services.
