Frederick, 61, of 305 W. Main St., a former mayor of this village, died at his home at 7 p.m. Sunday of an apparent heart attack. Born Sept. 26, 1909, in Coshocton, he was the son f Andrew and Vernie Youong Frederick. He was married Nov. 26, 1929, to Stella Addy, who survives. Mr. Frederick, who was mayor of West Lafayette for three terms, was a member of the local Rotary Club, serving as president in 1966; West Lafayette United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 466. He served with the Seabees during World War II in the pacific theatre. He was also a member of Coshocton Lodge 96, F&AM. He had been employed as a pressman at the General Electric Co. in Coshocton for 24 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Stephen D., of Bloomington, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Cathy) McCrea, West Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Homer (Audrey) Lowe and Mrs. Erma Shyrock, both of Coshocton; and a granddaughter, Amy Jo. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Methodist churc in charge of the Rev. Charles Ireland. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bonnell-O'Neill funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until 10 a.m. Wednesday when the body will be taken to the church.
