Death was due to an acute infection of the throat. Alvin Giauque was born in Berlin, Holmes county, in March 1877. When about 12 year of age he, together with his mother and brothers and two sisters, came to Coshocton to live, the father having died about one year previous. He first worked at the American Art Works, where he learned the pressman trade. He was later employed as pressman at the Tribune and at the time of his death was in the employ of J. F. Meek. Mr. Giauque’s death is the first break in the ranks of the local pressmen since the organization in this city. Was married to Miss Lucy Weaver, of the city who survive him. The following brothers and sister also survive. Milton Giauque of Millersburg, Orion Giauque of Dayton, Lewis Giauque of Akron. The mother died two years ago.
