R. Hosick succumbs after short illness. Granville, Aug. 30 - Mrs. Sarah Catherine Hosick died in the home on South Prospect Street Sunday about 10:00pm. Her death followed a three day illness caused by a heart condition. She was born in November, 1861, the daughter of Michael and Jane Carr, pioneer settlers of Coshocton county. Her early life was spent in Tuscarawas and Coshocton counties. She was married to Dr. W. R. Hosick in 1880 moving to Granville with her family in 1919. Dr. Hosick preceded her in death in September 1932. Mrs. Hosick in early childhood was a member of the Presbyterian Church and later life became affiliated with the Baptist church, being an active member of the local Baptist church. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Laura E. Hosick of the home and Mrs. A. R. Wright of Washington D. C., two brothers and one sister, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two daughters, Cora Hosick and Mrs. Charlotte Zimmer preceded their mother in death. Funeral services will be held in the home Wednesday at 2:30pm Rev. C. J. Oxley officiating. Burial will be made in Maple Grove cemetery.
