The Coshocton Tribune June 30, 1953
Mrs. Edward Howell, 92, West Lafayette, died this morning at the Dye rest home
in that community after a lingering illness.  She had been a resident of the
rest home for the past several years.

Mary Agnes Patterson was born Nov, 29, 1860 in Guernsey county and was married
Oct. 29, 1884, to Edward Howell, who died in August 1943.  She was a member of
the Flat Ridge Methodist church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Simmons, West Lafayette and Mrs. Nell
Owens, Canton; four sons, Abner and Donard Howell, West Lafayette, Lloyd and Ray
Howell, Canton; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  One daughter and
three sisters are deceased.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed at noon today.
