Noah B. Hardesty Noah B. Hardesty, 73, retired coal miner, died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday at his home in Conesville following a short illness. He was born April 14, 1878 in Muskingum county, a son of Edmund and Sarah Jane Groves Hardesty, and was married April 26, 1899 to Arzada Layton who survives. Mr. Hardesty was a member of the Chalfant Methodist church and the Moose lodge. Besides the wife he is survived by five sons, William H. and Charles of Coshocton, Laurel of Columbus, Leonard of Newark and Kenneth of Uhrichville; one daughter, Mrs. William Pendergrass, Dayton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two daughters are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Conesville Methodist Church with Rev. Clifford Garrabrant in charge and burial will be in South Lawn cemetery. Friends will be received at the home in Conesville after p.n. Wednesday and until time for the services Friday.
