He had been in ill health the past year. He was born Jan. 17, 1870, in Jefferson township, a son of the late John and Fredericka Leppla Haas. He spent all of his life in Jefferson township. Mr. Haas was married Feb. 24, 1895, to Della Shorder, who died March 14, 1948. Surviving are nine children, Charles and Kenneth Haas, Coshocton, Paul, Roy and John Haas and Mrs. Elizabeth Leas, all of Canton, Mrs. Maud Holderbaum and Ray Haas, all of the home, and 14 grandchildren. A son, daughter, two brothers and three sisters are deceased. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at teh Fischer funeral home, Warsaw. Burial will be in Valley View cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and until time of services Friday.
