John, 91, Canton, died early Tuesday at the home of a son, Charles F. John, Massillon. The widow of George F. John, she had been a resident of Newcomerstown before moving to Canton 17 years ago. She was born in Newcomerstown, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Riggle. She was the oldest member of the Zion Lutheran church in Canton at the time of her death. Surviving are six children, Mrs. Homer c. Ripley, Beach City, Mrs. Robert S. Lyons, Navarre, Mrs. C. Wilbur Hoy, Waynesburg, Mrs. Hazel Snedeker, Canton, Miss Justa John and Mrs. Augusta Hawk of the home; three sons, Charles of the home, Sigel M. and Lester E. John, Newcomerstown; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Mizer and Mrs. C. O. Geese, both of Newcomerstown; two brothers, E. M. Riggle, Port Washington, and Dr. J. H. Riggle, Wolf; 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Three daughters are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at the St. Paul Lutheran church in Newcomerstown with Rev. Tom Humrighausen, Canton, officiating. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery.
