JONES, 75, RETIRED COAL MINER, DIES THIS MORNING. John W. Jones, 75, retired coal miner, died at 6 a.m. today at the Bonnie Mere rest home, South Sixth St., following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 13, 1877, at Conesville, a son of Daniel and Catherine Pritchard Jones. In 1898 he married Margaret McShane, who died in 1918. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Tumblin, this city; Mrs. Arthur Palardy, Springfield; and Mrs. S. M. Poston, Montrose, Colo; two sons, Walter of Brewster and Ambrose of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Clark, Dennison, and Mrs. Pearl Dorsey, Crooksville; a brother, Frank, Coshocton; and seven grandchildren. A brother is deceased. Funeral services, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in charge of Monsignor John W. Kerrigan, pastor. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
