Mr. Leech was born in this country eighty-one years ago and from then on till his death lived the life of a sturdy pioneer, quiet, industrious, civil, and christian citizen. In his death the community loses a character of stern and sterling qualities; one of those originators of that strict, old time principle of civil and religious freedom, and of the belief of right thinking and right living. At an early age he became a member of the Presbyterian congregation and always remained a faithful and sincere worker in the cause in which he died. All his life he lived in and about this locality and therefore will the home of Samuel Leech always be remembered as one of the oldest and most useful builders of this section of the country. His loss is mourned by a second wife, three daughters, four sons and hosts of other relatives and friends. Also thirteen grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted at the home and church by pastor V.L. Grabiel of West Lafayette and Rev. McCunnings of Newcomerstown, D.L. Lydick of Newcomerstown had charge of the corpse. Interment was made in the village cemetery Sunday afternoon amid imposing ceremonies and floral contributions. The grieved friends have the universal sympathy of the community. ______________ File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/oh/coshocton/obits/l/leech1351gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ohfiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
