Thursday, May 18, 1972; pB5. Henry Edward McGinnis, 75, of 332 N. Twelfth St., died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 24, 1896 in Stark county, a son of James and Cora Schrock McGinnis. On Nov. 21, 1917, he was married to Laura Weist, who survives. He belong [sic] to the Park Ave. United Methodist Church. Mr. McGinnis was a retired boiler fireman and had been employed at the St. Rgis [sic] Paper Co., Pope-Gosser Co. and the American Art Works here before he retired. A World War I veteran, he served as a private in the U.S. Army from Sept. 24, 1918 to Dec. 10, 1919. In addition to the widow, survivors are one son, Clarence E. McGinnis, Dover; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Beverly) Dages, Canton; three granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Catherline) [sic] Swartz, Canton, Mrs. Anna Pachis, Massillon and Mrs. John (Emma) Jeandorvine, Bremen, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. One brother is deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Free Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald L. Rearick and Capt. Paul E. Satterlee officiating. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed at the funeral home Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and until time for services Saturday.
