The Coshocton Tribune July 26, 1954
Mrs. Clista Owens, 98, died at 8:55 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Isaac Miller, Russell Av., West Lafayette, following six months illness.

She was born Feb. 1, 1859, in Lafayette township, Coshocton county, a daughter
of Oran and Susan Wells Jennings.  On April 8, 1877, she was married to Price
Owens, who died Jan. 13, 1913.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Isaac Miller, three sons, Frank W. Owens,
Canadaigua, N. Y., Floyd P. Owens, West Lafayette and Russell Owens, Canton;
nine grandchildren, one Step-grandchild; 18 great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren.  One step-daughter, four brothers and three sisters
are deceased.

She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, West Lafayette.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Bonnell funeral home,
West Lafayette, with Rev. S. S. Burnett officiating.  Burial will be in
Fairfield Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
