Powelson, 81, of Birds Run Route 1, died today at 3 a.m. in her home following a years illness. She was born Aug. 17, 1870 at Onega, Kans, a daughter of William and Susan Kirkendall Jurey. On Oct. 16, 1889, she was married to Robert Powelson, who died Oct. 1, 1916. She was a member of the old Linton Mills M. P. church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Don Howell of West Lafayette, one son, William Powelson of the home, one sisters, Mrs. Ninnie Adams of Boise, Idaho, one brother, Wilson Jurey of Clay Center, Kans.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Bonnell funeral home, West Lafayette. Rev. Virgil Turner will conduct the services and burial will be in Plainfield cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday.
