Rehard, 71, a retired automobile mechanic, was found dead Saturday afternoon in his automobile parked by the garage at his home on Ohio 75, two miles north of Otsego, the apparent victim of a heart attack, it was reported by sheriff's deputies. Investigating officers said Mr. Rehard had been in failing health for some time. The body was found at 4:15 p.m. by a neighbor, William Snoots who investigated after having seen Mr. Rehard sitting in the same position in his car two hours earlier. Mr. Rehard was born Oct. 11, 1889, in Coshocton County, the son of Alfred and Louisa Jane Babcock Rehard. In 1938 he was married to the former Susan Powelson who died in 1959. He was a member of the Franklin Methodist Church. surviving are a son, Wilson Rehard of West Lafayette; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Wilcox of West Lafayette, Mrs. Harold E. Elliott of Newcomerstown Route 2 and Mrs. Wayne Harman of White Cottage, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Mrs. Burvil Lapp of Coshocton; three brothers, Roger Rehard and Vernon of Newcomerstown Route 3 and Isadore of Newcomerstown and a sister, Mrs. John Wrandt of Newcomerstown. the body was removed to the Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton where friends may call from 7 until 9 p.m. today and Monday. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
