D. Spiker funeral home, Canton, for Baxter C. Sharrock, 60. Canton councilman and former Coshocton county school teacher, who died Tuesday at 7:30am following a heart attack in his Canton home. He was born in Linton township, a son of the late James and Lib Carr Sharrock. He had served as county school teacher from 1903 until 1913 and moved from this county to Canton in 1921. After moving to Canton he operated a grocery. He was serving his second term as Democratic councilman of the Third ward. At the time of his death he was custodian of the First Reformed church, Canton. He was a member of the Simpson Methodist church of Canton and the Knights of Malta. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Sharrock of the home; seven sons; two daughters; one stepson; three brothers and three sisters. Burial will be at New Concord.
