Prior to that time he had been in Crestwood Manor, West Lafayette, Route 1, nine months. Born July 19, 1876, in Oxford township, Tuscarawas, county, he was a son of Martin and Sidney Kees Stewart, and was married April 19, 1900, to Hattie Wilson, who survives. He was a member of Hartwood Methodist church. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Velma) Couts of Newcomerstown; three sons, Wilbur and Dale, both of Newcomerstown, Route 1, and Paul of Newcomerstown; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Moore of Canton and Mrs. Harry McCullen of Gilmore; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Two sons, two daughters and two sisters are deceased. Services will be held at 1pm Friday at the Addy Funeral home, Newcomerstown, in charge of Rev. O. E. Ghere. Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery.
