Stiner, 81, a retired farmer, died at his home in Canal Lewisville at 8:30 a.m. Sunday following a long illness. He was born in Linton township, Feb. 16, 1877, a son of George and Catherine Keist Stiner. He was married Oct. 9, 1902 to the former Etta Blair, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Howard Hothem, Newcomerstown Route 2, Mrs. Frank hothem, Fresno Route 2; one sister, Mrs. Foretta Roahrig, Massillon; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death. He was a member of the Masonic lodge of West Lafayette, the Canal Lewisville Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at the Canal Lewisville Methodist Church, Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Russell Hoy will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the Dawson funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday until noon Tuesday and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
