Loois C. Porteus was born Aug. 12, 1920 near Coshocton, a daughter of Leslie and Iola Blair Porteus and was married Nov. 23, 1944 to Carl Wells, who survives. She was graduated from Coshocton high school in 1927 and from the Columbus Business college and was a member of the Franklin Methodist Church and the Franklin Grange. Survivors inaddition to her husband and parents include four sons, John, Thomas, Joseph and Donald, all of the home; one sister, Mrs. Irene Buxton, Nellie and one brother, Blair Porteus, Route 2. One sister is deceased. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson funeral home in charge of Rev. Roy Farmer. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until time for services.
