Peppard, living in Crestline. He was born near Mansfield, Richland County, Dec. 25, 1834. His father, Francis Peppard, was a native of Beaver County, PA, until he moved to Wayne Co., OH at 12. Francis Peppard married Mary Ann Morrison, of Crawford Co., PA. Her parents were born in Ireland and settled in French Creek, Crawford Co., PA, then Richland Co., OH. The land they purchased in Richland Co. became part of Crawford Co. OH. Their children were: David M., the oldest, Margaret Ann, wife of J.J. Talbott, Eliza Jane, wife of EL McLaughlin, William and Lydia A., wife of Jerome Brokar in Elyria, OH.
