Witnesseth that the said Christopher Stover and Sarah Stover for and in consideration of the just sum of twenty-five dollars and sixty-two and one-half cents to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is acknowledged, have give grant bargained sold release convey and confirm unto the said Ashford Stover, his heirs and assigns forever a parcel of land lying and being in the county of Crawford and the State of Ohio it being 20 acres of the north end of the west half of the northeast quarter of Section numbered Twenty-six of Township numbered one and South Range fourteen in the District of Delaware being the north part of the described lot to have and to hold the promises aforeesaid with all priviledges and apputenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining unto him the said Ashford Stover his heirs and assigns forever and the said Christopher Stover and Sarah Stover his wife for themselves, their heirs assigns, covenant and promised to an with the said Ashford Stover and his heirs and assigns thatt the said Christopher Stover and Sarah Stover, his wife are lawfully authority to sell and convey the same in manner aforesaid and that the premises are free and clear of and from all encumbrances, what so ever and further that they the said Ashford Stover and Sarah Stover, his wife, will well truly and warrant and forever defend the premises here-in and here-by granted unto him the said Ashford Stover and to his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of all and every person whatsoever. In testimony whereof, the said Christopher Stover and Sarah Stover, his wife, party of the first part have hereunto set their hand and seals this day and year first above written.
