Two beauty baskets of gladioli, palms, ferns and candelabra decorated the church chancel. The double ring ceremony was solemnized by the pastor, Rev. S. A. Metzger and was witnessed by the immediate families and a group of friends and relatives. A quarter hour program of nuptial music preceded the ceremony and was presented by Mrs. Coral Jobe, vocalist of Marion and Mrs. A. A. Remy, organist. "Have Thine Own Way" was sung by Mrs. Jobe during the ceremony. Attending the couple were Margaret Bigler and William Flack, of Marion, brother of the groom. The bride chose a brown and white wool tailored suit for her wedding, with which she wore copper color accessories and a corsage of Talisman roses. Her maid of honor wore a navy suit with accessories of a lighter shade of blue and her corsage was the same as that worn by the bride. A graduate of Crestline high school and the Marion Business college, the bride has been employed at the Shelby Mutual Plate Glass company. The groom graduated from Harding high school and Marion Business college and is employed as a salesman for Wiants Book store in Marion.
