Gustav Paul Moddelmog was born as the fourth child of Gottlieb Moddelmog (DOB 
May 06, 1830, DOD August 22, 1887) and his wife Wilhelmine Tessmer Moddelmog 
(DOB January 15, 1837, DOD December 27, 1891) in Schmilowo, West Prussia, 
Germany.  Most likely came through Castle Garden in New York and moved to 
Cleveland, Ohio, where he married Pauline Jankovski on December 21, 1888.  They 
lived at 45 Emmet Street and where later joined by Gustav’s younger brothers 
William and Frederick.  Gustav and Pauline have had at least three children.  
Unfortunately, all died before their first birthday.  Gustav Paul Moddelmog 
died in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 17, 1912.
