A procession was formed at the home of William Coleman, Esq., under the direction of Lieut. William W. McCrumb, who acted as marshal, proceeded to the Baptist meeting house. The Throne of Grace was addressed by the Reverend Mr. Hanks. The Declaration of Independence was read by William M. Camp, after which an interesting oration was delivered by Havillah Farnsworth Jr. An excellent dinner was served by the ladies. William Coleman, Esq., acted as president and Amaziah Porter, offi- ciated as vice president.
