Chicago Inter-Ocean May 13, 1876
George A. Benedict, one of the proprietors of the Cleveland Herald, died at 
his residence in this city, this morning, after a protracted illness. Mr. 
Benedict had been connected with the Herald since 1853. The Herald will now go 
into the hands of A. W. Fairbanks, senior proprietor.
