The Decatur [IL] Daily Review June 9, 1887
Macon, Ga., June 9.-Cleo and Claudia Thorne, of Cleveland O., sisters, were 
drowned in a creek near this town Tuesday afternoon. They went to bathe. They 
got into deeper water than they had expected to find and were drowned before 
assistance could reach them.
