He was converted in the prayer meeting held at the school house and afterwards joined the Methodist church at Pottersburg at the age of 14 years. He lived a faithful Christian life up to his death. He grieved very much about his brother August, who recently preceeded him, and lived a more persistent Christian since then than ever before. He had no bad habits and was always dillignet and industrious. He shunned bad company and always tried to avoid it. During his sickness he was always patient and submissive and never murmured or complained. He always wanted his oldest sister to read aloud to him from the Bible. When he was dying his mother said to him "Louis, you are not going to leave us too?" He said, "But if God calls me I will have to go." A little later he passed away to be with his dear father and two brothers, who preceeded him to the glory world. He was much beloved by all who knew him. He leaves a mother two brothers two sisters a grandmother and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held Wednesday in charge of W. I.
