He was stationed at W. 117th St. and Linnett Ave. from 1970 until his retirement. "Before becoming a fireman he was an inspection supervisor for the National Carbon Co. "He was a graduate of Cathedral Latin School and a staff sergeant in the Army in World War II. "He was past president of the Cleveland Fire Chiefs Association and a member of the association's golf club and bowling league. "He was a past chairman of the fire department's safety and clothing committee. He belonged to the Holy Name societies of the fire department and of St. Richard Church.
