A severe workplace accident caused a deep gash on the right thigh. Two days 
later blood clots caused his heart to stop.

Henry Benjamin was first married to Christina Calder in Cleveland from 1892 
until 1936, when Christina passed away. The next year he remarried to Addie 
Pearl Dickerman Wettach.
