Reck moreck@juno.com October 4, 1998 *********************************************************************** Services Tomorrow For Hugh Armstrong 1949 Funeral services will be held for Hugh L. Armstrong, 89, who died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday at his residence, 311 Central Avenue after an lingering illness. The services will be conducted at the late residence at two p.m. with the Rev. Grover D. Letner officiating. Burial will be the Greenville Cemetery. Friends may call until the hour of services but are requested to omit flowers. Born in Washington Township, Mr. Armstrong had lived in Greenville for thirty-five years and since 1936 had been engaged in the coal business. Prior to entering business here, he served as manager and salesman for the Garr-Scott Company, an implement firm at Richmond, Indiana, for approximately thirty years. He had been an active member of the Greenville Masonic lodge for the last half century. Surviving are his wife, Pearl, one son, Earl, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Roberts, of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Onkst, of Greenville, R.R.#4. The Masonic lodge will hold services at the Armstrong residence at 7:45 o'clock this evening. ------ Note: Hugh L. Armstrong was the son of Peter E. Armstrong & Catherine Henning Armstrong of Washington Twp., Darke Co. Ohio.
