He told me that in his family bible for the birth date of James William Hipple it has the year 1819, but then it is crossed out and the date 1820 is put in. I did check to see if that was correct, and that is what is written in the bible. It is in the copies that I sent to you from the family bible. Also, the wooden cabinet at my parents house that was brought by covered wagon to Ohio from PA. My father told me it was brought when James William Hipple was 20 years old. So that means that they came to Ohio in 1840 not 1830. I do not know where he received this fact. I beleive it was from his father Stanford Hipple, because when my father looked at the e-mail he immediatly said that James William Hipple was 20 years old at the time of the move. Just thought I would pass this along to you. Stacy ========================================= That was an Obit that was printed in the Greenville Democrat in 1893. I just copied it & transcribed it. It is possible that incorrect dates were submitted. The problem with a 1820 date is age 74-7-7 that was also stated in the Obit. If he came in 1840 he would only be 19 if he was born in 1820. (abt 1830 in a wagon from PA with a wooden cabinet) was text that I inserted from early being told he came in 1830. What is in Parens was inserted by me. This will need to be sorted out in Bedford PA more than likly. JohnW. ======================================
