Pearson was born in Miami County, near Troy, Ohio on 25 July 1837, died at the home of Adam Hall, Versailles, Ohio on 13 Nov. 1907 at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 18 days. He united in marriage to Margaret Brandon on Aug. 23, 1866. This union was blessed with 8 children, four sons and four daughters, two daughters having preceded him to the spirit land. In 1862, he enlisted in the Civil War and faithfully served his country until February 1864, when he was honorably discharged and again faithfully served his country until Nov. 13, 1865 when he was again honorably discharged. About 20 years ago, he enlisted in the great army of the Lord at Osgood, Ohio and remained a member of the church until death claimed him. He leaves a loving wife; 4 sons, 2 daughters, 3 sisters, 13 grandchildren; 5 grandchildren having preceded him to the great beyond. Funeral services were held in the Osgood Christian Church where the writer preached to a very large concourse. The remains were laid to rest in Yorkshire Cemetery by L. Marker. ------- NOTES: G.W.
