SARAH HENNING SHADE 1890 Mrs. Sarah Shade was born in Montgomery County, Ohio near Germantown, Ohio, May 17, 1816, and died at her home, some 6 miles west of Greenville, O., January 31, 1890, aged 73 years, 8 months, and 14 days. She came to Darke County in 1833, and was married to Absalom Shade, March 3, 1836, who died some 4 years ago. She was the mother of 9 children, six of whom are living, 4 sons and 3 daughters. She leaves 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was the member of of the German Lutheran Church for over 50 years and died as she lived a devoted Christian. She leaves her family and a host of friends to mourn their loss, which is but eternal gain to her. May the grace of God sustain all the sorrowing ones until in Christ they all shall meet again.
