ALPHA STONE was born May 15, 1797, in Luzerne, Warren Co., N.Y., and RHODA 
ORTON, his wife, was born December 1, 1800, in Willsboro, N.Y. to whom he was 
married September 6, 1818.  They had a family of nine children, all of whom 
lived to become men and women, but one.  Mr. STONE removed with his family to 
Milford Township in 1846, and in 1856 to Farmer Township, where he died three 
years later.
