In the Probate Court of Defiance County, Ohio

In the matter of the will of Geo Platter..labeled "old uncle George"

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all:

I George Platter of the County of Defiance and State of Ohio, do make and 
publish this my last will and testament.

Item 1st  I devise and bequeath unto my son Christopher Platter, and my 
daughter Catherine Luce, wife of William Luce, and my daughter Sarah 
Gordon, wife of William Gordon, and to George William Platter and Samuel 
I. Platter and Lovinia Platter and Nancy Platter an equal dividend of all 
my person and real estate.  The above named George William Platter and 
Samuel I. Platter and Lovina Platter and Nancy Platter being children of 
my late son Joseph Platter.

Second I bequest unto them collectively an equal dividend with my own 
children as above mentioned.

In Testimony thereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of 
September in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty three.

Signed George Platter

Witnesses John Musselman and George Armstrong as signed in sworn 
affidavits in 1855.
