Mr. Edwards was born in Delaware County, Ohio, and settled in Iowa in 1843. In 1849 he was married to Miss Mary Streets, and to this union were born 13 children, five of whom survive him. Mr. Edwards was one of the "boys in blue" and served his quota of three years in defense of his country's honor. He had been a member of the Advent church since 1869. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. C. Thompson.
