For transcription purposes, we started at the northernmost section (Section #1). We have used numbers to identify each row, and the placement of each headstone within that row. For example: Section #1, Row 3, (Stone) 6. The headstones are counted going north from the driveway. Because this is an older cemetery, expect to find uneven rows and some broken and/or undecipherable headstones. If we could not absolutely make out certain dates or names, we indicated with a (?) that the information is "our best guess". Information enclosed within parentheses does not appear on the stone. Transcribed by Cynthia Morse and Allan Vargo, June & July 2002. Email: Bullyapps@aol.com SECTION #1 ROW 1: 1. FRANK W. HAASE 1876-1906 "Husband" 2. "Husband" (stone near Haase headstone) 3. You may look as you looked the day before, and go by the same old name. You may bustle about the street or shop, you may sit at home and ponder, but you'll see blue water and wheeling gulls wherever you may wander. You may chat with neighbors of this and that, and close to your fire keep. But you'll hear ship whistle and lighthouse bell and tides beat through your sleep. Oh you won't know why and I can't say how such change upon you came, but once you have slept on an island, you will never be quite the same." 2.
