Sandusky Star Journal April 20, 1953
Joseph E.Braeunig 77,husband of the former Elizabeth Belz and a mason 
contractor his entire life in Sandusky,died at midnight Saturday at his home 
918 W.Monroe St.after a years illness. He was born in Sandusky and was a life-
long resident of the city. Mr.Braeunig was a member of St. Marys Catholic 
Church. Survivors in addition to his widow include five sons. Joseph 
J.Braeunig Cincinnati,Alphonse Braeunig a k a John Joseph Rand 
Mansfield,Joseph Belz Cleveland,George Belz Chicago and Edward Belz Cleveland. 
Three daughters, Mrs. Harley Watkins Mount Gilead,O.Mrs.Harry Rowalt Bucyrus 
and Mrs.George Mayer Cleveland. 26 Grand children,two brothers, John 
A.Braeunig Cincinnati and Leo J.Braeunig Sandusky. Two sisters,  Mrs. Barbara 
Regner Cleveland and Mrs.Josephine Schneider Sandusky and other relatives. 
Burial Calvary Cemetaty.
