Frederick 87, a resident of Sandusky County Road 280, Rt. Vickery, died this morning March 7, 1963 in Memorial Hospital Sandusky, Ohio after a lengthy illness. Mr. Frederick, a retired farmer, was a veteran of the Spanish- American War and a member of Santa Clara Camp, United Spanish American War Veterans. Surviving are two sons, Emerson C., Columbus and Adrian E. rural Vickery; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Howard Porter, Bradenton, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ida J. Harkness, on Feb. 23, 1939; three brothers and three (actual four) sisters. Friends may call after Friday noon at the Charles J. Andres Sons' Funeral Home, where funeral services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the rev. William G. Armitage, officiating. Burial is to be in Castalia (Margaretta Twp.) Cemetery. ******************************************************************************* Charles H. Frederick enlisted in the army June 14, 1898, as a Pvt. Co. B, 6th OVI, discharged May 24, 1899 in Augusta, GA. ******************************************************************************** Bios: Charles H. Frederick lived most of his life in Erie County, Ohio only residing in Sandusky County, from 1955 until his death in 1963.
