Sandusky Daily Register, 2-20-1898, p 8, col 6.
William McGinnis was born in Pennsylvania on July 31, 1804.  Enlisted Nov. 19, 
1861, Co. G, Eighty-second Ohio Volunteer infantry, at the advanced age of 56 
years, and was discharged Sept. 21, 1862, on surgeon's certificate, at Fairfax 
Courthouse, Virginia.  He was admitted to the home Aug. 8, 1896, and died Feb. 
18, 1898, aged 93, 6 months and 17 days.  Funeral from Assembly occurs today.

Additional Comments:
The home referenced was the Soldier's Home in Sandusky.
