Sandusky Clarion, Sandusky, Ohio  Oct 15, 1823

Died, at Delaware, Ohio, on the 3d inst. of a pulmonary complaint, Mr. Seymour 
Skiff, civil engineer, aged about 25 years.  Mr. Skiff was a native of 
Cazenosta, N.York; a young gentleman, who had by his ? and honest application 
to business, acquired the full confidence and sincere friendship of the canal 
comissioners and engineers in New York, and by their influence obtained the 
most respectable appointment among the engineers of this state.
