The Fairfield County Genealogical Society details in its publication "The Cemeteries of Amanda Township" (reprinted in 2006) that the land for this church and cemetery was donated by John and Charlotte Bogle in 1845. Mr. Charles Wagner recorded the cemetery in 1941; Mr. George F. Stilwell recorded again in 1989. Mr. Charles Goslin copied part of the cemetery in 1972. Some of the differences or discrepencies from those readings may be clarified by the digital enhancement available today. Other stones are now illegible, making the work done by these early recorders so invaluable.
