NobleCounty, IN Obituaries LDS Film # 849935
Maria Van Wormer was born in Martinsbrg, Virginia.  Her maiden name was Baker.  
While yet a little child she moved to Fayette Co., Ohio, afterward to Marion 
Co.,Ohio and in 1844 to Noble Co IN, where she lived until her death.  She was 
married twice. the name of her first husband was John White.  They raised six 
children:  three sons and trhee daughters--all of whom still live in Noble Co.  
Her second marriage was to William Van Wormer.  She had lived a consistent 
member of the Methodist church for sixty years.  She had the use of her mind 
until the last, and died rejoicing in a present Savior.

Additional Comments:
Jane White, daughter of Maria (Baker) White, was married to Orlando Kimmel.
