ERNEST E. JENKS Ernest E. Jenks, 80, of 17171 State Route 729 N.W., Jeffersonville, died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 22, 2000) at Kettering Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1919, near Jamestown, the son of Glennie and Opal (Woods) Jenks. He resided in Jefferson Township most of his life. A retired farmer and real estate agent with Don Irvine Realty Co., he was a member of Jeffersonville United Methodist Church, Jeffersonville Lodge 1468, F.&A.M., Valley of Dayton, Scottish Rite, Antioch Temple Shrine, and Jeffersonville Lions Club. He was a former 4-H advisor and a past president of the Miami Trace High School Band Boosters. He had graduated from the former Silvercreek High School at Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Hidy) Jenks, in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Glenna L. Jenks; two sons: Michael E. (Susan) Jenks of Mt. Sterling and Scott (Belinda) Jenks of Jeffersonville; four daughters: Marsha K. (David) Hoover of Massilon, Beth Ann Hanusik of Mt. Sterling, Beth Barton of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Lori (Patrick) Lerum of Grove City; a sister, Marthena Sinkhorn of Kettering; and nine grandchildren.
