     				CLARYCE ALVERDA SMITH
	CLARYCE ALVERDA SMITH, 93, Sabina, formerly of Lees Creek, died at 
Autumn Years Nursing Center, Monday, Nov. 1, 2004.
	She was born in Adams County, Dec. 9, 1910, the daughter of the late 
THOMAS LEROY (ROY) and ELLA MAE POWELL SPURGEON.  She graduated from Wayne 
Township High School.
	On Sept. 30, 1933, she married GLENN E. SMITH and he preceded her in 
death May 2, 1981 after 48 years of marriage.
	One sister, LOIS REESE, of Sabina and lots of nieces and nephews 
survive her.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three 
brothers, EVERETT DALE (infant), THOMAS LEROY (infant), ESTEL SPURGEON, three 
sisters ESTA SHARRETT, ANNA SMITH, and ELEANOR SPURGEON.
	Funeral service at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.  Burial in 
Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek.
