					DOROTHY C. SMITH
	DOROTHY C. SMITH, 88, of 1417 Forest St., Washington C.H., died at 9:15 
a.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998 at home.
	She was born in Fayette County on Feb. 5, 1910, the daughter of JOSEPH 
L. LANDENBURG and JENNY (SUMMERS) LANDENBURG.  She had been a local resident 
since 1928 and was a member of Holiness Church.
	Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, SAMUEL H. SMITH; 
brother, ALBERT LESLIE LANDENBURG; sisters, ALICE M. WOODS and MARY B. BOGGS.
	She is survived by a son, WILLIAM JOE (JANE) SMITH of 1417 Forest St., 
and daughter, CHRISTINE (PHILLIP) JONES of Columbus; brother, WILLIAM VIRGIL 
LANDENBURG of Jeffersonville, and by 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren 
and two great-great-grandchildren.
	Funeral at Wesleyan Holiness Church.  Burial in Washington Cemetery.
