Engineer, C.A.C. (w/photo) Son of Jesse L. and Alice Goul; born December 15, 1891, Marion, Ind. Moved to Madison County in 1902. Laborer. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army August 31, 1914, Anderson, Ind. Sent to Columbus Barracks, Ohio. Transferred to Coast Artillery School, Ft. Monroe, Va. Overseas in March, 1918; assigned to 56th Coast Artillery.
