Family Records April 1904
John Durban was born in Baden, Germany, January 24, 1840 and died April 14, 
1904, aged 64 years, 2 months and 20 days. Mr. Durban was united in marriage 
to Anna Barbara Billner and to this union was born twelve children, six boys 
and six girls; the mother and two children died some years ago. Mr. Durban 
spent his boyhood days near Hilliards, Ohio, and when a young man he united 
with the German Lutheran Church of near that place and has been a resident 
near Plain City for about 30 years. He has always been an industrious and hard 
working man. He leaves ten children and many grandchildren to morn their loss. 
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. 
Hunt and Rev. Hunter officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
