Mary Sophia (Wieland) Schmidt (1869-1932) was the wife of Charles Fred Schmidt 
(1863-1935).  Nothing is know of her parents except her father, John Wieland, 
who was from Kochendorf, Wurttemburg, Germany.  Mary was born in Bavaria.  Her 
husband and all of her children were born in Ohio - more than likely 
Columbus.  Her children in order of birth are:  Fred H., George T., Howard E., 
Frank Charles and Edward.

Her son, Frank Charles Schmidt, moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he married 
Elsie Clara Blank and raised their only child, Virginia Ruth "Ginny" Schmidt.  
Ginny was my grandmother.  Ginny married William Henry "Bill" Ditto and raised 
their family in Cleveland and later in Mentor, Lake Co., Ohio.
