To wit. First it is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be paid out of my personal property. 2nd I here mention that I have already given according to my own wish and desire to each of my children a certain part of my Estate. 3rd It is my will and I do order and authorize said executors to sell and convey by General Warranty deed the farm now occupied by my John Goulden of fifty five acres to be deeded according to the deed conveying said land to me from Joseph Garicson not described by metes and bounds for the want of deed to do it by or the deed not being present and the avails of said sale to be applied as follows. First, to lift two notes or due bills that I hold against my son-in-law Alfred L. Williams, and second, release or indemnify my son John Goulden as security for said Alfred L. Williams and thirdly, the residue and remainder of my estate said sale to be applied to the purchasing of a suitable lot of land to make a house for my daughter Sarah Williams wife of said Alfred L. Williams to be deeded to her and her children after her and for her heirs and progeny forever. Fourthly, It is my will and I do order that my son-in-law John Drake shall have the farm he now occupies and has occupied for some 8 or 10 years not described by metes and bounds for want of having the deed present, but containing about seventy acres, which land I desire and order that said Executors will make to said John Drake, my son-in-law his heirs and assigns forever a general warranty deed soon as conveniently can after my decease. Fifthly, It is my will and I do order all the balance or remainder of my property to be divided amongst or between all my children Share and Share alike, and Lastly, I do appoint my son Thomas Goulden and my son-in-law, George Witcraft Executors of this my last will and testament. I testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine. his John X Goulden Seal mark Signed and published and declared by the aforesaid or named John Goulden is and for his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request have signed as witnesses to the same. It is ordered that letters testamentary be granted to them who were thereupon Page 76 duly sworn and gave bond with Carlisle H. Austin and Lawson Curtis their securities to the acceptance of the court the penalty of twelve hundred dollars conditioned as the law direct and thereupon the court appointed Henry Reymer, Henry Hiatt, Lewis Sullivan to appraise the personal property of said testator whereupon letters testamentary were issued to the Executors in due form of law.
